Aches & PainsTreatmentsIf your child's pain is the result of an injury, rest, ice, compression and elevation are recommended - or R.I.C.E.: - Have your child rest the injured area.
- Apply ice wrapped in a towel to the sore area for 15-20 minutes, 2-3 times daily for the first 48 hours.
- Loosely wrap the affected area in a sports bandage.
- Keep the injury elevated.
Sore muscles may feel better after 48 hours with heat or gentle massage. Giving your child Children's MOTRIN*, Junior Strength MOTRIN*, or acetaminophen can also help to relieve the pain. If these methods don't provide relief for your child, or you suspect your child's pain is the result of an illness, consult your doctor. | |
